Lectures about industrial biomedical products are given by outside speakers.. |

| Course objective : | To present the fundamentals of biomedical signals acquisition and electronic processing. |

| Prerequisites : | General knowledge of electrical circuits analysis, of analog and digital electronics, as covered in courses ELEC0053-2, ELEN0075-1 et ELEN0040-1. |

| Workshops : | Cellular transmembrane potential measurements and design of a complete ECG acquisition device. |
 |
| Organization : | Theory course and problems sessions on monday AM, spring quarter. |
 |
| Written notes : | Reference textbook : Medical Instrumentation, 3rd ed, J.G. Brewster; Wiley. Slides are available. |

| Assessment : | Based on a bibliographic resarch work on advanced topics, conducted in team of 2 or 3 students. |
