| Course objective : | Identification and study of leaf and softwood trees from temperate countries. After completing the course the student is expected to - recognise all ligneous native species of Belgium (production or understory species) and the main exotic production species; - monograph of forest species; - identify the main characteristics of the ligneous species (dendrology, autecology, growth and yield, wood characteristics) and their relations with the site and the silviculture. |
