Course contents :  - Uses of the water and the aquatic surroundings (in a context of IWRM and Sustainable Development)

- The pollutions: types, characterizations

- Effects on the environment ( physico-chemical, biological, physical aspects) both in surface waters and in subterranean waters

- Application in the developing countries

- Group assignments : case studies
Course objective :  - To identify and characterize the various uses and the types of disturbances of the water by taking into account the situation in the developing countries

- To understand the impact of these uses and disturbances on the environment through the study of indicators of state and impact (indicators adapted to a follow-up of the situation in the developing countries)

- To be able to analyze a situation from a concrete case study
Prerequisites :  - To see admission conditions of this master
Workshops :  - Case studies
Organization :  - Theoretical course (15H)

- Group assignments and oral presentation (9H)
Written notes :  - Lecture notes and PowerPoint illustrations
Assessment :  - Written exam

- Oral presentation of case studies
