Course objective :  Agrometeorology's objective is to use and exploit in an optimized way weather and climate for agricultural production, source of food and incomes for the majority of world population. This course give the scientific basis for a good understanding of operational applications in agrometeorology. These applications will be teached in a second course called "Applied agrometeorology".

Agrometeorology being interdisciplinary by definition, students will be initiated to some processes in atmospheric physics, soils physiscs and agronomy that are essential for interventions in agrometeorology.
Prerequisites :  - basis of climatology and meteorology

- basis of biology, physics and chemistry
Workshops :  Worksheet exercises and field observation of wheat phenology
Organization :  Lessons are organized per half-days. Theory is alternated with exercises and practises works.
Written notes :  Copy of powerpoint presentations and other reference documents
Assessment :  Written exam
