Course contents :  Specially dedicated to Foreign Law students admitted to the University of Liège under the Socrates-Erasmus Scheme, the course aims at considering some aspects of Belgian Private Law. After a brief introduction, the analysis encompasses : rights on movables and real estate property, general law of contracts and torts, Belgian law in relation with e-commerce.
Course objective :  The course's main purpose is to shed light on some aspects of Belgian Private Law, especially with regard to property rights. It also provides an opportunity for foreign students to deepen the Law terminology in the French language.
Prerequisites :  Dedicated to Socrates-Erasmus Law students, this course requires no particular prerequisite, except the general condition of a sufficient knowledge of the French language.
Organization :  The course consists as a rule in lectures given on the different subjects. Students may sometimes be required to read articles prior to class. In any case, students are warmly encouraged to participate in class discussion.
Written notes :  Students are provided with a detailed outline of the course.
Assessment :  Assessment will be by an oral exam organised in January.
