Course contents :  This course presents the usual dermatoses affecting the oral cavity. The student will be teached to recognize these dermatoses, to give a differential diagnosis, provide the adequate complementary examinations, the treatment options and to which departement the patient can be addressed for adequate follow-up.
Course objective :  To teach the students to recognize, to provide a differential diagnosis, and to propose complementary testing of frequently occurring dermatoses of the oral cavity, including infectious diseases (mycotic, bacterial, viral) as well as auto-immune and inflammatory diorderes, and benign and malignant neoplasia
Prerequisites :  Basic knowledge of skin biology, histology, internal medecine and therapeutics is recommended
Workshops :  No practical sessions are organized. However, the student is invited to assist at the outpatient clinic consultations. Please contact the dermatology secretarial staff.
Organization :  The course is dispensed during the first trimester.
