The related organic reactions will then be reported, as well as the important concept of the stereochemistry. All these concepts will be illustrated by examples of organic materials encountered in the day life. Course objective :   The course aims at introducing the fundamentals in organic chemistry. This strategy rests on the functional-group approach with concrete examples encountered in the day life. Prerequisites :   Basic knowledge in chemistry. Workshops :   Participation to the praticals is mandatory Organization :   Lectures with powerpoint projection will be given during the second semester. The course and laboratories might be partially or totally in English.
