Master in Chemical Sciences, in-depth approach, 2nd yearToute l'année2
Master in Chemical Sciences, didactic approach, 2nd yearToute l'année2
Master in Chemical Sciences, specialized approach, 2nd yearToute l'année2
Holder(s) :  Françoise Remacle
Language :  French language
Course contents :  The course begins with an Introduction to classical Boolean logic and to quantum logic. Then, the different approaches aiming at implementing logic machines at the molecular level are reviewed : (i) Molecular electronics, (ii) Implementation of logic operation by software, (ii) Implementation of concatenated logic gates at the hadware level, (iii) quantum computing. Several concrete examples are discussed  : molecular combinations circuits, finite state molecular machines, implementation of search algorithms.
Course objective :  Fundamentals of
(i) Molecular logic Classical and quantal
(ii) Logic machines : Combinational circuits and finite state machines
(iii) Quantum computing
(iv) search algorithm
Prerequisites :  Basic principles of quantum mechanics and of molecular physical chemistry
Workshops :  None
Organization :  The time table will be settled taking into the availability of the students.
