| Course contents : | Synthesis of nano- and divided materials. Study of their structure. Shaping. Properties expected by the final user. Relation between the preparation process of a material and its final performances through its structure and physico-chemical properties. Possible processes for the manufacture and the shaping at an industrial scale. |

| Course objective : | The course aims at examining questions that arise during the development of large scale manufacture processes of nano- or finely divided materials and presenting possible technical solutions. |

| Prerequisites : | Chemistry and physics courses of the first cycle. |
 |
| Workshops : | Synthesis and caracterization of a nanomaterial in the laboratory. |
 |
| Organization : | Lectures: 15h - Laboratories: 15h.
Second quadrimestre. |

| Written notes : | Copy of slides. |
 |
| Assessment : | Work in laboratory and report: 40% of the final note.
Final oral exam: 60% of the final note. |
