Course contents :  The theme of this workshop-seminar changes every year but always relates to the observation and analysis of urban practices (crowd phenomena and development, travelling through the town and insecurity, the transition between private, semi-public and public spaces, walking in town, observing specific public places ...)
A few theoretical bases which are essential to urban analysis will be presented and used pragmatically.
The workshop-seminar is also based on research on graphic transcriptions, summarising the observations and analyses made.
Course objective :  The workshop-seminar aims to move from the observation of collectively used spaces, to identify relevant actors and their roles, to understand the interactions between the actors in the appropriation and production of land today. In particular, it aims to better understand the role and place of the architect in such a process.
The aim is also to research innovative graphic tools as an aid to transcription and analysis.
Prerequisites :  Baccalaureat courses in psychology and sociology.
Organization :  Workshop-seminar with the participation of resource-people.
Written notes :  Will be proposed during the seminar
Assessment :  Active participation in sessions
Analysis work and spatial transcription
