Course objective :  
  • To understand the different actors involved in land development with whom future architects will work during their career and to understand the roles of each of these people and the relationships between them;
  • Knowledge of land management and town planning tools and understanding the challenges which they bring;
  • Understanding the tools involved in land development and town planning in response to the questions posed by different socio-cultural and economic contexts, which they in turn influence;
  • Development of a critical approach to construction in relation to these tools: effectiveness, equity, real impact on the ground...

Assessment :  
  • An oral and written presentation of a piece of group work about the actors involved in land development and town planning
  • Oral exam based on the subjects presented in class, documents covered and course notes.
