Course contents :  The course provides an overview of the main phases in the history of the town (Antiquity, Middles Ages, Contemporary Era) in relation to town planning design.
Course objective :  To understand the essential steps in the history of the town and in town planning design in relation to social, political and economic history.
Prerequisites :  History of Art and Architecture courses in the Baccalaureat.
Social sciences Baccalaureat courses.
Organization :  Classes with exercises.
Visual aids.
Note taking by students.
Written notes :  Documents will be provided.
Assessment :  Written exam: 60%.
Exercises during class: 40%.
Attendance in class is mandatory.
