Course contents :  In line with article 25 of the Decree of 22 February 1984, the final examination includes defence of a thesis or a piece of work or a project.
By the end of their studies, students should be able to demonstrate that they are able to use their knowledge and skills acquired to develop an individual analytical piece of work dealing with a question of architecture or a related subject.
The subject must be judged interesting and be ratified by the Pedagogical Council in advance.
Course objective :  The jury, made up the thesis promoter and at least two readers, will focus particularly upon the quality of the oral and written presentation as well as the argument developed in the text and on the day of the defence. The jury will also pay attention to responses to questions posed.
Prerequisites :  Knowledge and skills acquired throughout university.
Organization :  Information sessions will take place in 1M. Personalised guidance will be given upon student request during the last two years: initially by the co-ordinator, then by the thesis promoter.
Assessment :  Submission of written work in May. Oral defence in June.
