1/ WORKSHOP (M. FRISENNA)
As a continuation of the Course on the Study of the Interior given in 3B, the course in micro-architecture addresses the theme of the small scale and attention to detail in architecture.
The various themes addressed will give students the opportunity to consider architecture on the small scale either in a given building where the concept of integration and analysis of the building is compulsory, or in a given site where the response to the landscape has to be compared with the creation of a cell with a defined function which could be displaceable (e.g. small cell of a mobile home).
The creation of furniture which is perfectly integrated into the designed space and inversely to volume, results in an interior implementation which is integrated into each project.
This concept of the "small" gives students the opportunity to identify a precise process of creation. In particular, the concept of architectural modulation via the 'contained' and the 'container' is developed ...
Each idea outlined must be coupled with the appropriate skill.
The introduction to disciplines which put the finishing touches upon an Architecture project is particularly addressed in order that students are confronted with the constraints inherent in the materials with which they work.
2/ COLOUR AND LIGHT (H. MICHAUX)
Practical application of the modular theme in the workshop project.
