| Course contents : | This year, six sessions of the artistic practice course will be devoted to drawing the human body using a model. We will work in partnership with professionals of "space": Hazel Carrie and Conchita Fernandez Del Campo, both dancers and choreographers. |
| Course objective : | Through drawing, this course aims to develop the sensation of space, verticality, balance, gravity and weight and to encourage experimentation. We will explore open space, movement, intermediary space... The models will posed according to various themes: stability and instability, fulcrum, axis, immobility and movement.
Among other things, we will experiment with different drawing tools: graphite pencils, charcoal, Chinese ink, walnut stain, watercolour, watercolour pencils, bamboo quills, brushes, or other media which can be put onto paper. We will also vary the format and the weight of the drawing paper. |
| Prerequisites : | Maturity and basic drawing skills acquired during previous years. |
| Organization : | Focussed on practical experimentation, this course takes the structure of a workshop. Students are invited to undertake a piece of individual work on a shared subject. This course should be seen as a continuous sort of interview. In other words, alongside the general instructions given to the entire group at the same time, the individual direction of each student's piece of work is the most important. Progress made by the student is more important than the end result. The significance of autonomy and artistic intelligence are stressed.
Daily visual experiences will be called upon in the workshop with different exercises relating to the body in general. |

| Assessment : | Continuous assessment. |
