| Course contents : | I.- How to develop a cost estimate.
II.- Addressing the various elements which come into play in setting the unit price of an element of construction.
III.- Based on a project or an element of a project, studying various technical and architectural solutions by evaluating cost, comparison and then analysis. |

| Course objective : | To address the economic problems of a building and to assess the cost as a function of the choice of one or other chosen technical solution.
This should lead students, and hence future designers, to understand the reasoning behind the economics of a building, to evaluate utility and to define limits. |

| Prerequisites : | Courses in technology of construction from the 2nd year of study, 1GL and 2GL. |
 |
| Organization : | Theoretical concepts are given in lecture format and then in the form of practical application in workshops in groups of around 20 students. |
