| Course contents : | The Workshop-Project course is at the very heart of training for future landscape architects, both because it is the foundation for theoretical knowledge and as an introduction to practicalities of the project.
The programme is designed to allow all students, regardless of their prior training and their personal interests, to acquire not only a knowledge of landscape architecture, but also to contribute to their intellectual openness and to sharpen their critical skills.
The project developed within the workshop is based on an overall site which is approached through four levels:
1. The sensory approach
Approaching the site as a whole, and sensory reading.
Models, sensory maps, drawing ...
2. Morphological and structural approach
Analytical reading of the site, identification of structural lines
Cartography, sections, drawing ...
3. The linear approach
Identification of sequences, connections, dynamics
Understanding interactions in context
Analysis and conceptual development of a sequence.
Plans, sections, drawing ...
4. The timely approach
Conceptual development of a place
Establishing a personal way of expressing a concept
Plans, sections, drawing ... |
