Course contents :  OBJECTIVES
  • to learn how to visualise space;
  • to discover the laws of descriptive geometry and how it is represented.
METHOD
  • a presentation prior to each exercise will introduce new concepts;
  • these will immediately be put into practice by the student in the workshop, in the form of working drawings.
WORKSHOPS
  • graphic tools and methods;
  • orthogonal projections;
- straight lines, specific and other plans

- adjusting plans, rotations, tipping-up, lifting

- actual scale

  • axonometry, the circle in perspective (the ellipse);
  • intersections;
- intersection of straight lines and plans, intersection of volumes, development

- intersection of curved and solid-angled surfaces

  • application: topography;
- basic material and measurement, survey drawings

- scale drawings

- indirectly measuring distances

- using a theodolite

- contours

  • architectural shadows.
- on plans and simple volumes

- on solid-angle and curved surfaces
