| Course contents : | OBJECTIVES
- to translate our environment and architecture into drawing, while providing the tools for understanding and representation.
- to develop students' creative potential refining sensitivity and critical visual sense, while experimenting and exploring composition.
METHOD
- a series of themed workshops, essentially based around drawing.
FREEHAND DRAWING
- learning to observe.
- learning to transpose space, volume and texture through drawing. Academic sketches: observing the worlds of minerals and plants, rough sketches, simple volumes, rendering textures and shadows. Architectural sketches: building perspective, leakage points, exploring spatiality
ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS
- mastering the use of instruments: T-squares, set squares, pencils, felt pens ...
- familiarisation with architectural conventions and representation: line thickness, plans, cross-sections, page lay-out.
GRAPHIC AND PICTORAL RESEARCH
- developing students' creativity and formal research skills.
- learning how to develop form, exploring their interaction in compositions, combining form with colour, exploring the sensitivity of lines, rhythm and proportions.
