Course contents :  A. Molecular and physiological description of the different hormone's famillies and types of receptors.
Description of the endocrine, paracrine and autocrine regulation systems
Relationships between hypothalamus and pituitary gland
Description of the somatotropic axis (GHRH, SRIF, GH, IGF)
Description of the thyroid funcyion
Description of the adrenal axis
Endocrine regulation of growth (from foetus to fattening)
Endocrine regulation of lactation (mammary gland development,
induction of lactation, persistence of lactation.
Description of eggs production
Pancreatic function
Renal function
Reproduction
B. Biotechnology and animal productions

New strategies to prmotote milk, growth or fat production
Course objective :  Study of the endocrine and molecular mechanismes involved in the regulation of the main biological functions (growth, lactation, reproduction) in the farm animal's species.
After completing the course the student is expected to
to describe and to explain the endocrinal and molecular control of physiological functions in relationship with animal productions
