Course contents :  1. Introduction;
2. Model for wheat development;
3. Fluxes of gases and assimilation of carbon dioxide at the scale of the crop vegetation;
4. Starch and proteins accumulation in the grain of wheat;
5. Etablishment of yield component of pea and effects of te biotic and abiotic stress;
6. The STICS model;
7. Agriculture of precision and use of models;
8. Examples of uses of models for crops;
9. Use of genomics knowledge in the improvement of crops plants.
Course objective :  - Study the processes of elaboration of yield and quality of products of crops;
- Initiate students to use model of development of phytotechnical practices.
After completing the course the student is expected to
- Understand processes of optimization of the agricultural production to increase yield and improve the quality;
- Understand models of development of culture, potentiality and limits of these models.
Prerequisites :  -- PT220 - Crop production in temperate regions (part 1)
-- PT222 - Crop production in temperate regions (part 2)
