 | | Observation placements |

 | The students observe high school teachers for 10h. 6 h in physics and 4h in other fields. The students choose their host institution. |
 | | Teaching placements |

 | The students practice teaching for 20h in a high-school in Belgium, under the supervision of a head teacher. |
 | | Reflexive practical work |

| Organization : |
 | | Course and exercises |

 | The course takes place on Wednesday afternoon. Several meetings are organized with the teacher students in chemistry and biology. |
 | | Observation placements |

 | The students choose when they carry these observations. It is recommended to finish these observations before 1 November 2007. |
 | | Teaching placements |

 | Professor Grandjean assigns a head teacher to each student. The student plans the teaching schedule, with the head teacher and gets approval from Prof. Grandjean. |
 | | Reflexive practical work |

 | After the microteaching periods and after their practice, a common evaluation is carried out. The student must show self-evaluation of his/her practice in his/her practice report. |

 | | Course and exercises |

 | Activities are graded during the academic year. The students present one laboratory to 1st year students in science or engineering. The students present two public lectures in a class and/or in front of the jury. These lectures account for half the final grade in this course. |
 | | Observation placements |

 | The students write a report that is turned in with their first practice report. |
 | | Teaching placements |

 | The head teacher grades the practice according to criteria supplied by Professor Grandjean. Professor Grandjean and one of her collaborators visits the student for two lectures. One week after the end of the practice period, the student turns in a report containing the lecture notes and an auto-evaluation of his/her performances. |
 | | Reflexive practical work |

 | The evaluation is based on the practice report. |
