| Langue : | Langue anglaise |
 |
| Aperçu général : | This course addresses and illustrates Internet use as a support for learning. In particular, we will address wikis, blogs, resource directories and RSS feeds, all in terms of their pedagogical use. The course is aimed at teachers for whom these words are new, or are little used in their teaching practice. The aim is to discover and envisage how these tools can be effective used in training and to understand their pedagogical value. |
 |
| Objectif du cours : | To open teachers up to different practices and tools which they can use in their own classes, for activities which they deem may be relevant. |
 |
| Organisation : | The course consists of different activities for participants:
*initial preparation at home (by watching a video on the Internet, using on-line tools based on a list given and participation in active on-line collaboration) - estimated: minimum 2 hours of work.
*active participation in two 3¿ hour classes (one in the form of a lecture, the other more practical) - estimated: 7 hours of presence.
*between the two sessions, individual work on testing one of these techniques in one's own class - estimated: around 5 hours of work (useful in terms of the final report)
*drafting a final reflective report, based on transferring these skills to one's own practices - estimated: minimum 1 hour of work.
Please note that a minimum of five participants is required for this course to take place. |
 |
| Notes de cours : | On-line notes |
 |
| Evaluation : | Drafting a report (2-5 pages) explaining how this course was useful for your consideration of your own classes, what can be transferred and what you have been able to transfer and why (or why not).
The reflective report will be useful for the participants to adjust (improve) their own classes. It will be evaluated on the following criteria:
*outline of concrete achievements
*reference to theoretical elements and experiences covered in class
*the reflexivity (questioning, critical analysis) which the piece of work demonstrates
*format (APA references, respecting instructions, structure, quality of spelling and syntax)
This course amounts to 5% of the end-of-programme grade. A minimum grade of 10 on 20 is required to pass the course.
If you undertake Formasup in 2 years, optional courses with a grade under 10/20 obtained in year 1 cannot be retaken in year 2. |
