Course contents :  The course of semiology of production animals is composed of 13 different chapters :

- Contention of ruminants

- General examination of ruminants

- Examination of the respiratory system of ruminants

- Examination of the digestive system of ruminants

- Examination of the locomotor system of ruminants

- Examination of the urinary system of ruminants

- Semiology of the female genital tract

- Oestrus detection

- Pregnancy diagnosis

- Semiology of the male genital tract

- Semiology of obstetrics

- Semiology of the udder of the cow

- Semiology of the pig
Course objective :  The main objective of the course is the initiation of the students to the gathering of clinical symptoms presented by diseased ruminants and pigs, whatever the disease.
Prerequisites :  General knowledge in anatomy, embryology and physiology are considered as prerequisite.
Workshops :  Nine practical works are organized in the field of semiology of production animals, 8 in relation with cows and 1 in relation with pigs.
Organization :  The curse is given in amphitheater and on the e-learning plateform Web CT.
Written notes :  Available at the "Office des Cours" and on WebCT.

For each chapter of the course in theriogenology, the students have Word and PowerPoint notes.
Assessment :  Evaluations are organized using multiple choice questions.
