| Course contents : | In this second part of the course students get introduced to drama and poetry translation. |

| Course objective : | The obstacles to be negotiated are basically the same as with fiction but with added constraints. |

| Prerequisites : | An excellent knowledge of French (target language) and a good knowledge of English. |
 |
| Organization : | 1st term in the second year of the Master's degree on Thursday from 5 to 7. See http://cipl82.philo.ulg.ac.be/horaires |

| Assessment : | The students' competence is assessed on the basis of works they have done at home, namely the translation of some ten pages from a play and of two poems. The oral examination provides feedback on those tests. |

| Remarks : | On Thursday 22 October the Scottish poet Kate Armstrongwe will be our guest. One of the three days of the conference to be held in early May will bear on literary translation. |
