| Course contents : | This course covers the evolution of the French dramatic arts (from Beckett to Koltès) in the second half of the twentieth century. It will relate to writing and the social space and the state of the theatrical field within which it exists. |

| Course objective : | The main objective of the course is reading contemporary works which blur the commonly established parameters of stories, characters and dialogue. |

| Assessment : | The assessment will take place in two stages. An initial assessment will involve the preparation (documentary research, reading and analysis) and management of a public meeting with a contemporary author. The final assessment will take the form of an analysis of a piece of work presented orally, in groups of two students. |
