| Course contents : | The course is divided in two parts:
- Geometrical and physical optics
- Electromagnetism
Electromagnetism : electrostatics, magnetostatics, electrodynamics and Maxwell's equations, conservation laws and electromagnetic radiation. |

| Course objective : | The aim of the course consists in teaching the electomagnetism and physical + geometrical optics based on Maxwell equations. |

| Prerequisites : | Physics and Mathematics learned during 1st Bachelor |

| Organization : | The course about optics is organized during the 1st period and is combined with 2nd bac chimists.

| Assessment : | Electromagnetism :
A written exam on exercices (35%) and an oral exam on theoretical concepts/global comprehension (65%) are organized in June and August.
Optics:
A written exam takes place at the end of the 1st period.
A second session of exam (written) is organized in Aug/Sept.
Lab reports are quoted. The quotation is taken into account at a level of 25% of the global total. |
