| Course contents : | The course deals with some significant criticisms of Kant's project in the 19th century (Herbart, Bolzano, Brentano, etc.) and their influence on the beginnings of contemporary philosophy - particularly on phenomenology and logical positivism. From a thematic point of view, one will focus on the question of empiricism, asking for example whether philosophy can be based on a descriptive ground and, if it does, in what sense. |

| Prerequisites : | At least one Philosophy course. |

| Organization : | Duration and period : 45 hours 1st + 2nd quadrimesters. First lesson: october 6 2009.
