Course contents :  N.B. Distributique = contraction of the french words Distribu(tion) et (Logisti)que.

1. Theoritical approach covering the specific rules and global optimization research in the field of the Supply Chain focusing on the logistics aspects (thus not covering the marketing aspects)

2. Personal research on several related topics
Course objective :  
  • To master the best practices of Distribution of industrial products, of fast moving goods, dangerous products, at the national and international level, in a global concept of service to the customer;
  • Inventory management and physical management of the warehouse;
  • Packing management;
  • Hazard survey about Distribution aspects;
  • Computerized management of the Distribution;
  • Quality (ISO, HACCP, BRC, IFS) and Distribution;
  • Audit of the Distribution function;
  • Introduction to the optimization of every solution about logistics
Prerequisites :  Knowledge of basics of manufacturing, logistics and supply chain
Workshops :  Search of best practices among international enterprises

Exercises : inventory, warehouse location, packing, distribution round, ....
Organization :  Ex cathedra : 6 * 4 hours
Written notes :  Notes available on the campus HEC-ULg;
