| Course contents : | The 15 hours of theory will be devoted to a summary of the principal means and men of influence on foreign affairs. The second part will ask students to
1. take a passive part in scientific caucuses linked with the subject;
2. write a personal paper devoted to one crisis in foreign relations (personal choice); 3. participate in a collective way in the preparation of a half-day seminar on one aspect of foreign affairs (the theme will be selected by agreement with the teacher). |

| Course objective : | To train last year students for further activities in historical research. |

| Prerequisites : | To have followed the course on Belgian diplomatic history or any other course relating to foreign affairs will be of great help. |
