Course contents :  Introduction to research, reading, criticism, interpretation, and use of sources (written) from the modern period; application of this instruction through study of a number of documents and through working on them; writing of a number of short papers.
Course objective :  At the end of the year, the student will be able

  • to do research in Library about specific and well-focused topics
  • to understand and analyze sources of different kinds
  • to present orally the result of his/her research
  • to communicate in writing the result of his/her research
  • to review a book of History
Prerequisites :  None
Workshops :  Bibliographical practices will be organised during the year (little groups and schedule to set up)
Organization :  The lessons are organized on Tuesday (4-5.30PM). Classroom : Petit Physique
