| Course objective : | To give to the Water and Forest Ingeneers the minimum knowledge about hunting, in order to carry out their profession, in the private as well in the public sectors, and to deal with complex problems of hunting management
After completing the course the student is expected to
- better understand the aims and priorities of the Walloon hunter associations;
- be familiar with biology of the main game species in Wallonia, with focus on red deer, roe deer, wild boar, hare, partridge and pheasant;
- be able to manage the balance between the game species and their ecosystem;
- become familiar with the main techniques in monitoring game species. |
