Course contents :  Lessons are focused on various aspects of the insurance business :

- importance of this sector in the whole of the economy and the main actors,


- description of the main products of insurance as well as their classification and, more particularly, the description of the products of life insurance,

- basic principles of the insurance(assurance) (mutualization, large number),

- régulation and rules ( Europe and Belgium ),

- analysis of annual balance sheet of insurance companies

lessons on " Insurance : management and concepts " and " Finance and actuarial mathematics " are complementary.
Course objective :  The target is to have a global knowledge of the insurance business wich aims at bringing basic notions to be able to approach questions related to this sector.
Prerequisites :  No required knowledge.
Written notes :  Available
Assessment :  Oral exam with a written preparation.
