Course contents :  I Production and characterisation of the various types of waste

V Socio-economic and environmental aspects
Course objective :  The course presents the problems of waste management, from their production to their potential valorization, taking account the economic and environmental aspects.

It presents the framework of the waste management in a comparative way between NORTH and the SOUTH.


After completing the course the student is expected to
- To choose process of treatment according to the type of waste
- To understand the mechanisms of evolution and management of waste
- To consider the potentialities of valorization of waste and by-products
