Course contents :  Teaching is based on the analysis of three contrasted case studies aiming at the conservation and restauration of biodiversity in open habitats :
- The agricultural ecosystem and the agro-environment scheme.
- Mining activities and ecosystem reconstruction
- Constraints on restoration of semi-natural ecosystems.
Case studies are synthetized in a general framework providing the key elements and technical schemes for ecological restoration of open habitats.
Course objective :  To provide a synthesis of principles for ecological restauration of open habitats.
After completing the course the student is expected to
Develop a structured strategy and technical framework for restauration of open habitats.
