Course contents :  - Portfolio of sketches made from observations
- Sketching technique: use of perspective, techniques for representing shadow and the rules of axonometry.
- Projects:
* Sketches showing texture, volume, vegetation, water etc
* Representing space (maps, plans, developments, amending plans, perspective etc)
- Exercises relate to well-defined questions or tasks that make use of graphic design, visual memory, perspective, observation, etc. Attention is also paid to the framing of images, proportions, choice of viewpoint, the feeling of the image etc
Course objective :  The ability to draw freehand is a valuable skill for the designer, which can be learnt. As well as developing a good eye, the course aims to develop hand and thinking skills to an extent, that freehand drawing becomes a genuine tool for exploring ideas and a tool for communication. On completing the course, the student will be in a position to develop their own drawing style and to use this for their projects.
