| Course contents : | THEORY Part 1 : Various approaches of the notions of landscape(s) and spectator(s); Part 2 : From ecological environnement to landscape: various methods for understanding a landscape; Part 3 : Concepts, specific glossary and communication technics used to study and present landscape composition
Part 4 : Study and evaluation of different landscapes ( localisations, characteristics,size,...)

| Course objective : | To introduce the notions of landscape(s), spectator(s) and the diversity of the parties involved in landscape architecture. To provide conceptual tools to analyse the ecological, historical, sociological and cultural characters of landscapes To provide usual tools to read a landscape To learng how to develop a critical mind about landscapes To learn to understand and use specific glossary and how to communicate about landscape composition
After completing the course the student is expected to - Study carefully a landscape in order to observe, describe, understand and comment it in a precise way - Present a personnal landscape reading |
