The aim of the training is to turn the occupational physician an advisor in prevention who can :
- assess health hazards in the labour environment ;
- elaborate, plan and assess prevention programs ;
- work within a multidisciplinary team for work prevention and protectionl.

Le programme est structuré en deux épreuves.
La première épreuve comporte des cours théoriques et pratiques, des activités programmées et un stage d'une durée de 8 semaines dans un service médical du travail agréé; son contenu satisfait aux exigences minimales fixées par l'A.R. du 5 mars 1970 pour l'exercice de la médecine du travail en Belgique.
La seconde épreuve comporte un certain nombre de cours complémentaires obligatoires et choisis par le candidat, des séminaires interdisciplinaires en liaison avec la pratique de la médecine du travail, et la préparation et la défense d'un travail scientifique et personnel.

Ces deux années d'études correspondent aux deux années de formation spécifique prévues par l'A.R. du 05 septembre 2006 (M.B. 25/09/06), fixant les critères d'agrément des médecins spécialistes en médecine du travail. L'accès à ce titre de médecin spécialiste est subordonné également à la réalisation de 24 mois de formation à la pratique professionnelle sous la supervision d'un maître de stage suivant un plan de stage préalablement agréé par le Service public fédéral de la Santé Publique.
Le diplôme de Master complémentaire obtenu après ces 4 années de formation à temps plein répond aux exigences de la Directive CEE 93/16 et garantit la libre circulation du diplômé en médecine du travail au sein des pays de l'Union Européenne.

- Being a doctor of Medicine qualified to practice in Belgium
- Being in possession of official evidence that you have succeded the selection test for access to the complementary Masters organised by the Ulg's Faculty of Medicine

Duration
|
- Two years of study.
- The first and second years can be spread respectively over two or three consecutive years, whilst respecting the legal length of four years.
