| Course objective : |
 | | partim virology |

 | The course consists in giving the veterinary students the biological background needed to the understanding of viral diseases, taught in doctorat. The veterinarian is confronted daily with viral infections. Their great diversity is partly due to the great number of animal species encountered in a veterinary practice. The study of these viral diseases requires a good knowledge of viruses, their biology in the infected cells and diagnostic methods. |

 | Applied animal epidemiology is a precious worktool for every veterinarian involved in the control and sanitary management of animal husbandries. |

 | As the presence at the TD-TP is obligatory, the unjustified absence of a student can involve his inadmissibility to the examination at the end of the year, according to article 7 of the regulation on the organisation of the examinations. Examinations on the courses of general virology and epidemiology applied to veterinary medicine are organised simultaneously. The student gets one numerical evaluation (on 20) combining both matters. |
 | | partim epidemiology |

 | § As the presence is required at the TD, a not justified student's absence can lead to the « irrecevabilité) to the final exam, as specified in the article 7 of the exam « règlement »
§ The examinations relating to the courses of general virology and epidemiology applied to the veterinary medicine are organized simultaneously. For each of the two matters, the student receives a dimension on twenty points, the student must pass both courses. |
