  • Etiology of burns
  • Pathophysiology of the burn wound
  • Evaluation of the magnitude of the injury : depth, extent, localisation
  • Criteria for transfer to a burn center
  • Acute treatment
  • Wound treatment
  • Operative wound management and alternative wound dressings
  • Chemical and electrical burns
  • Rehabilitation of the burn patient

Course objective :  
Psychiatry of emergency situations and intensive care

Comprehension of the functioning of psychiatric emergencies. Understanding of the psychiatric disorders that must be assessed and treated in the emergency unit.
