Course contents :  This course is related to the preparation of the Master's Thesis. The topics hereafter will be seen :

- how to write and to organize the text

- how to organize references for citing in papers (desktop writing tools, e.a. EndNote Web)

- bibliographic research related to the Master's Thesis.
Course objective :  To help students to prepare their thesis.
Prerequisites :  To have chosen the Master's Thesis subject.
Organization :  The first part of the course is held within a classroom of the Department of Geology. During the second part of the course, students are invited to work in autonomy. They are invited to use all documentation resources available.
Written notes :  A tutorial relative to "geowriting" is at the student's disposal.
Assessment :  The evaluation of this course is based on :
- the work realised during the year,
- a written report (document research) summarizing the present state of knowledge about some topics related to the objectives of the Master's Thesis
and the bibliography made for this work,
- the oral presentation of the advancement of the Master's Thesis.
