Duration :  30h Th, 10h Pr, 20h Mon. WS
Credits/ECTS :
Master in Statistics : General, Research focus, 2nd yearToute l'année6
Holder(s) :  Gentiane Haesbroeck
Language :  Langue française
Course contents :  The course introduces the main concepts used in survival analysis. First, the concepts of censoring and survival functions are presented, as well as the usual probability distribution used in this field. Then, parametric regression models are used to determine whether there is a relationship between survival and covariates. Finally, Cox proportional hasard model is introduced.
Course objective :  At the end, the students should be able to detect which type of problem can be considered as a survival problem and perform the required analyses.
Prerequisites :  This course is scheduled in the second year of the master of statistics. Therefore, a strong background in statistics is required.
Workshops :  Tutorials and practicals will be organised.
Organization :  The course (and the tutorials) will be given in the second semester according to a time table given to the student.
Written notes :  There is no personal note available.
