Course contents :  This curse is dedicated to the study of the concepts of "civil society" and "globalisation" by theoretical and empirical approaches while trying on the one hand to make emerge a properly sociological glance and on the other hand to promote a reflexion on the current place of these concepts in the field of development studies.
Course objective :  To approach scientifically the concepts of globalisation and civil society.
To apprehend the social and cultural effects of the so-called globalisation process.
To understand the place taken by the concept of civil society in thedevelopment policies and daily activities.
Prerequisites :  The knowledge of English is an asset.
Workshops :  A personal work will be required (evaluation) on the basis of reading of a book or scientific articles.
Organization :  This course will be organised during the second semestre.
