Course contents :  Principles of neuropsychological assessment - Neuropsychological rehabilitation - Assessment and rehabilitation of memory disorders - Assessment of visual agnosia - Assessment and rehabilitation of executive functions - Assessment and rehabilitation of attentional disorders.
+ practical exercises (see below).
Course objective :  To introduce the students to the principles and techniques of the neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation of adults. Detailed presentation of the assessment tools for the main types of deficits encountered in neuropsychology (memory, attention, executive functions, visual recognition, etc.).
Prerequisites :  Course PSYC1013-1 "Clinical neuropsychology".
Workshops :  - training in the administration of assessment tools in neuropsychology
- practical exercise in clinical neuropsychology: analysis of the information obtained during a clinical interview, elaboration of a neuropsychological examination, analysis and interpretation of the results, writing a neuropsychological report, determining a rehabilitation program.
Organization :  First semester of the first master in psychological sciences (common curriculum of the finalité spécialisée "Psychologie clinique : approche psychothérapeutique cognitivo-comportementale, neuropsychologie clinique, développement et handicap").
Written notes :  Lecture notes and some chapters of the book "Traité de neuropsychologie clinique" (X. Seron, & M. Van der Linden, M., Marseille : Solal, 2000).
Assessment :  Oral examination + assessment of the practical work (involvement, quality of the report...).

Remarks :  This course is a prerequisite for the access to the "Neuropsychology" option, and for the access to the training programme in neuropsychology (students have to take this course during the first semester of the first master in psychological sciences).
