Course contents :  The course is divided in two parts:
  • Physical optics
  • Electromagnetism
Course objective :  The aim of the course consists in teaching the electomahgnetism and the physical optics based on Maxwell equations
Prerequisites :  Physics and Mathematics learned during 1st Bachelor

Organization :  The course about Physical optics is organized during the 1st period.

Lab and training sessions: 10+5h

The course about electromagnetism is organized during the 2nd period.
Theory: 25h
Training sessions: 10h
Written notes :  Physical optics:
Note book (Y. Lion) and slide copies are available (pdf files)
Assessment :  Physical optics:
First examination about takes place at the end of the 1st period. Successfull students are exempted.
Written exam is organized in June and Aug.
Lab reports are quoted. The quotation is taken into account at a level of 25%.
