Course contents :  The following topics will be raised
- Special functions
- Linear filters and convolution
- Fourier transforms and applications
- Basics in probability and statistics
- Application to data reductions
Course objective :  Basics in signal processing and data reduction.
Prerequisites :  Basic knowledge in mathematical analysis.
Workshops :  Data reductions of experimental signals on a PC.
Organization :  Integrated course with practical exercices.
Written notes :  Delivered at the start of the course.
Assessment :  1st session: oral and practical exam. Report to be given.
2nd session: written and practical exam.
