Course contents :  The aim of this course is to describe, determine and understand the various types of order observed in molecules and condensed matter, in relation to their physical properties. Symmetry plays a central role.

3. Geometric crystallography
4. Les grands types d'architecture atomique
5. Scattering : basics and application to crystals
6. Determination of the structure of crystals
7. Liquid, amorphous structures and nanophysics
8. Crystalline defects and crystal growth
9. Electronic et vibrational structures
10. Soft condensed matter
Prerequisites :  Basic physics
Fourier transform
Workshops :  Exercices : 20h.
Organization :  
Written notes :  Lecture notes and reference textbooks.
Assessment :  Written and oral exam (May-June), written (August-September).
