| Course contents : | The course is divided into two parts. The first is devoted to wave Optics, the second to quantum mechanics emphasizing the experiments leading the physicists to reconsider the classical physics. Chapters of optics part : material waves, electromagnetic waves, light, electromagnetic waves propagation, polarisation, interferences and diffraction. Chapters of quantum part : the models of atoms and the first quanta theory, qunatum mechanics and quantum mechanics of atoms. |
 |
| Course objective : | To teach the students the importance of comparing the model with the experiments |
 |
