| Course contents : | This year, this course will be devoted to a critical approach to the notion of "at-risk" in its various acceptations: in the media, or as part of militant protest, and also in a theoretical sense (philosophy, sociology). What are the effects of the substitution of the notion of being "at risk" for that of poverty? Is this correlated with the abandonment of the historical schema of the class struggle? Is being at risk the new image of the proletariat? Through such questions, we will investigate the origin and the presuppositions associated with this idea that has recently arisen in the field of philosophy, as well as its theoretical and practical functions. |
