Does not all practices of politics, political philosophy and even the history of political philosophy certainly involve a philosophy of language? Questioning the presence of the philosophy of language can change the way we take those practices into account. In particular, it is useful to show aspects of political and philosophical practices that involve an ordinary language philosophy and a theory of speech acts as worked out by Austin, the second Wittgenstein or Cavell.
